Rule Number 1: If you want to keep a secret, tell no-one.

A Secret is not a Secret if you tell one person. Anyone who asks “can you keep a secret?”, and to the answer “yes” proceeds to tell their own, is really asking for it. Here’s the logic. Everyone who gets told a secret is bursting to tell another person. After all, whats the point of hearing a secret if you can't tell anyone. If you don’t tell anyone, the secret has no value. The only person that gets value out of a kept secret, is the person that stands to lose something if the word gets out. And that’s YOU. So, if you want to keep a secret, tell no-one.
